How to Lose Facial Fat
When we gain a few pounds, we can usually mask it while we spend a few weeks or months working it off.
We could wear a flowing blouse instead of a form fitting one or adding secure undergarments beneath a dress to
smooth out body lines.
But we can’t cover up facial fat. Discovering how to lose facial fat is the way to bring back self-confidence
about our image.
Many women complain about facial fat even when they may be at or close to their ideal weight range. Facial fat
can make a person look older or look unhealthy.
It can have a profound effect on the way we feel about ourselves as we look in the mirror each morning. The
solution for many is learning how to lose facial fat in order to gain a much younger and healthier look.
While a small percentage of people may turn to a plastic surgeon to immediate rid themselves of this issue, this
is not always the best alternative. Cosmetic surgeons have a list of surgical options to modify or enhance features
of your face to help you to feel better about it. However, this option is costly and you aren’t guaranteed to like
the results. Also, as with any surgical procedure, there’s always the possibility of something going wrong. Many
may feel that this is too much of a price to pay to get rid of a
double chin or facial fat.
In lieu of going under the knife, there are a few things that you can do to reduce facial fat. One way is to
take inventory of your diet on daily basis and targeting your salt and alcohol content. Salt contributes to water
retention which may immediately puff up the face.
Alcohol dehydrates your body, which also causes your body to hold on to more water and create a puffy face. By
eliminating these items from your diet, you can reduce water retention and the appearance of facial fat.
Drinking at least eight glasses of water each day can reduce inflammation and puffiness in the face. A good
amount of water keeps the body well hydrated. It also removes toxins from the body when fat it broken down from
diet and exercise. Drinking at least 64 ounces of water will combat both of these potential issues and help achieve
a slimmer facial appearance.
You can also keep your face hydrated through facial treatments. Be generous in applying water to your face in
the shower or at midday to provide another opportunity for your face to absorb moisture.
Minimize, if not eliminate, the sugary drinks you consume. While these are liquids, they are often loaded with
sugar which does not hydrate your body. Choose beverages such as water or tea instead.
Replace refined carbohydrates with high fiber foods and carbohydrates. Choose fruits and vegetables, both of
which will have a higher water content and contribute to hydrating the body.
Also, be sure to include facial exercises in your diet and workout plan. Often, facial exercises are neglected
and not a part of a workout plan. But muscles in the face, neck, and chin can be exercised to provide firm support,
giving a more toned appearance.
