In this article I will outline how you can lose 10 pounds in just one month by just using a few simple concepts!
This article will outline the basics of calorie intake, exercise, and nutrition and help get you in the best shape of your life!
So read on to find out how you can start shedding the pounds fast and become a happier, healthier, you!
First of all, weight loss is a pretty simple concept. There are a lot of sites and trainers that make it seem complicated and unnecessarily hard. The main thing you need to know when trying to lose weight is that it depends on how many calories you consume and how many calories you burn throughout the day.
If you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose weight. If you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. So, when trying to lose weight fast, your calorie intake is very important. To calculate how many calories you need each day to lose weight, find your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and activity level.
This calculation will involve multiplying your BMR by a set number for your activity level (there are many websites that provide free calculations). The final number is your maintenance number – or the number of calories your body needs to maintain it’s current weight.
Since 1 pound of body weight equals 3500 calories, you need to create a 7000 calorie deficit each week to lose 2 pounds of weight each week (or ~8 pounds a month). The remaining 2 pounds will likely come off as water weight – so 10 pounds in one month is completely doable! But, like most things, it is easier said than done.
A 7000 calorie deficit each week will require extreme determination and dedication to your goal. To reach this deficit, you need to decrease your maintenance calories by 1000 calories each day.
The most effective way to do this is by combining a reduced calorie diet with plenty of exercise. If you can eat 500 less calories each day and burn 500 more calories, you will reach your goal of 10 pounds lost in a month.
Tracking your calories will be your biggest friend during this time. Use free calories counting website to hold yourself accountable and figure out if you are hitting your goals or not. Weighing and measuring your food will ensure that you are consuming the right amounts and not underestimating your calories. Add a cardio session in the mornings and an intense strength training routine in the evening. This should help you burn at least 500 extra calories each day.
Don’t’ be fooled, this program will be demanding and it will require hard work – but if you stick to it and keep focused on your goals you can have the results you’ve always wanted in no time!
